About the Website

Throughout this site and the resources, we look at technological change and with it the trends of social media and sharing of personal information, and the importance of online safety. Crime and fraud can accompany internet use and mobile devices and this is also covered within the site.

The aim of this site is to encourage young people to be vigilant and safe when:

  • Using a mobile phone and to ask them to be aware of the risk of mobile phone theft;
  • Making financial transitions especially when using digital media and online mediums;
  • Online – security and awareness is paramount, they should always be careful about what information they put in the public domain, who they give their information to and to keep our passwords secret.
