Out of Your Hands was originally launched in 2004, sponsored by Mobile Industry Crime Action Forum (MICAF) to address the issues surrounding mobile phone crime.

With the significant increase in mobile phone thefts, scams, fraud and online bullying and the need to educate ourselves and become more diligent when using our phones and our online services, Out of Your Hands is now supported by the Telecommunications UK Fraud Forum; whose members include FFAUK, 02, Vodafone, BT, Sky, Virgin Media, 3 and EE.

Internet and mobile communications offer a vast amount of opportunities for fun, learning and exploration. They also present parents and teachers with a host of concerns and worries. This is why we work with educational specialists and teachers to design and deliver free curriculum relevant resources to schools that strongly support and explore the issues of Mobile Phone Theft, Identity Theft, Online Fraud and Online Safety; as well as providing useful resources for parents.
We understand that schools play a vital role in helping young people to explore the digital world safely and happily and that’s why Out of Your Hands is so important.
